This API Terms of Service ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you ("Developer", "you") and Vectorize ("Company", "we", "us") governing your use of the Vectorize API, software development kits, and related documentation (collectively, the "API").

1. License and Access

Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, Vectorize grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable, non-transferrable, non-assignable, revocable license to access and use the API to develop, test, and support your application.

You may not use the API in any manner that violates any laws, infringes any rights of any person or entity, or violates this Agreement.

2. API Usage Restrictions

When using the Vectorize API, you must not:

  • Share your API key or use another developer's API key.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the API.
  • Use the API to transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
  • Substantially replicate products or services offered by Vectorize.
  • Use the API for high-risk activities where failure could lead to death or injury.

3. Rate Limits and Fair Use

You agree not to attempt to circumvent the rate limitations established for your account tier. Vectorize may, at its sole discretion, adjust rate limits, throttle your requests, or suspend your access if your usage negatively impacts the stability of our infrastructure.

4. Intellectual Property

Vectorize retains all right, title, and interest in and to the API, including all intellectual property rights therein. You agree not to obscure, remove, or alter any proprietary notices displayed by the API. You retain ownership of your application and any data you transmit through the API.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The API is provided "As Is" and "As Available".

Vectorize disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the API will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vectorize shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your access to or use of the API.
